About XCom
Excellent Communication (Pty) Ltd, trading as XCom, is a licensed Namibian internet service provider. We build, power and run our own network, and we are on the ground in the places we serve.
Who we are
Namibia is a large country with a small population spread thinly across it. That arithmetic is why so much of it has been left without a proper connection: the return on a tower is easier to justify in a town than out on the farms.
We built the company around the other answer. We manufacture our own towers, install them ourselves, and power them off-grid where there is nothing to plug into — which is how we now cover around 60% of the country’s landmass with more than a hundred of our own structures standing.
We hold a national licence from the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia under the Communications Act 8 of 2009, and we work as a direct contractor on specialist telecommunications projects alongside running our own subscriber network.
Selected work
Over a hundred towers manufactured and installed by our own team, standing in rural areas across the country and carrying the connections that reach the farms, villages and institutions around them.
Full rebuild of an unattended coastal radio site: site preparation, civil and structural remediation, a new solar power plant, and VHF and AIS antenna installation on the existing tower — handed over with commissioning and as-built documentation.
Combined connectivity, surveillance, access control and public Wi-Fi for residential estates, hotels and event venues — managed as one network rather than four separate systems.
